  5. Change undergarments everyday or as frequently as needed.
  6. Put used towels and cloths in laundry basket. And not to mix undergarments with rest of the other clothes.

Oral hygiene

Good dental hygiene is about more than just pearly white teeth. Caring for your teeth and gums is the best way to prevent most of the gum diseases and cavities.

  1. Brush your teeth at least twice a day for 2 minutes.
  2.  Aim to brush after you wake up and before bed. Will be better if you can, brush after every meal, too.
  3. Floss between your teeth daily and ask your dentist about using an antibacterial mouthwash.
  4. Gargle your mouth with a mouth freshener. Or just normal Lukewarm saltwater gargle is good enough.

These steps can help prevent tooth decay and eliminate pockets where bacteria and germs can build up.

  4. Always blow into the handkerchiefs or tissue. Not pick nose and smear mucus around.
  5. Wiping down shared surfaces with an antibacterial wipe.
  6. Not sharing any utensils (Thermostat or tumblers) or electronics (thermometer) or cloth and common items (towels, blankets, pillows, bedsheets etc).

  2. Teach your children how to wash clean different parts of their body. Specially help them learn how to clean their face and their private parts.

It is of my opinion that is such rewards in the long run will turn detrimental to a child. Personal hygiene is mandatory and needs to be followed at all circumstances without any exception.

Following it only for a reward is a temporary fix and not a long-term solution. Ask yourself will your child follow the needed personal hygiene if you stop rewarding them.

Lead by example

Children watch and learn from us. There is nothing new here. So, pretty much your personal hygiene standards will reflect on your child’s hygiene standards.

If you wake up and freshen up and come ready to the breakfast table, you will find that in time your kid will do the same.

However, due to the presence of the morning, you fail to do this and expect your child to however come in fresh. In time you will find yourself defending your actions when the kids start to question you on why you have not followed then same instruction.
